The latest articles about transonic airfoils are not only very interesting to read but also shows that supercool is at the leading edge of prop developing.

I can recommend his great products to everyone.

Hi Bob, I have been using a SLH 15A for about 27 years now in various aircraft and in a swamp rat boat with the engine up top with a prop. i hate to think how many hard hours this motor has done but it is still the sweetest little engine that wont give up, it still idles like a swiss watch. enjoyed your enya column. p.s. just picked up a brand new one for next to nothing.

Thanks for the historical account of the Enya engines.
Does anyone know where I can acquire a Dykes ring for my Enya .40 model 4002?
Suggestions welcome. E/mail blackbart12@sbcglobal.net Thanks.

Great site, I particularly enjoyed the articles by Bob Allan on the early Enyas. Is there any way I could get in touch him to talk about an Enya 19 (sandcast) that I bought in Japan about 1951 or 1952

The only problem I have with your website is that I never allow myself enough time to look thoroughly at it. It is always a great read and your willingness to share your knowledge is very much appreciated.

Thanks for your contribution to modelling.

In your Acoustic Antenna 2 article, you lament that no one knows or stocks Vero boards. I'm not sure, either. I have one type of prototyping board that uses a push-down tool to push wire down into forked contacts, displacing the wire insulation. I also have some very nice traditional wire-wrap prototyping boards that I got when I worked on Airfone in another life.

Does that sound like what you need? Contact me and I'll send you a photo.

I have been carving my own propellors for my powered paraglider. I came across your website when I was looking for info about this. I have really enjoyed reading your articles about props and I am considering buying your book. Is it still available? I have a couple of questions: what features optimize a prop for the pusher configuration? In your opinion, is the bicambered air foil used on the Felix prop all its cracked up to be? Why are "Q" tipped props used on the Aero Commander? I maintain this airplane at work. I also maintain DC6's, Firecats, Convairs, AT802's. Piper Aerostars, and CL-215's. Your articles have really helped me to appreciate the variety of propellors on the aircraft that I work with.

Thanks, Chris Huxley

That engine on E-bay is a scam. Not an old one made recently.
Just thought you should know

I fly F2C in Italy. I bought from you some props circa 5 years ago: very good product, but different in setting from the type I used and I use actually. I am interested in your analisys/design of propellers so I look with attention the performances of Australian F2C team in Valladolid World Champs.

But my thinking is about the return of mono blades in F2C: I tryed, just for approssimation, with an old Cipolla type monoblade (about 1988/1990) and, reducing the diameter (modern engines revs higher), it look not impossible to have good results.
The tests have to be very long now, but what about in your idea?

Thank you for your attention
Luigi LANZONI

Just another engineer bitten by the "Make a better prop bug". Wish I was on the same continent, I'm sure a beer or two would lead to some interesting theory sharing, might even get in something about props
